Intro
The Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) provides emergency and financial assistance to Air Force members, both active duty and retired, and their dependents through interest-free loans or grants.
Emergency Financial
Assistance
- Airman & Family Readiness Center staff
members are trained to administer this program.
Eligible members that qualify have access to
interest free loans which can assist in meeting
financial obligations. Emergency assistance
can include the following; rent, food, utility
bills, emergency travel due to death in the
family or funeral expenses, car repairs, medical
or dental expenses, and loans or grants for

Application
Falcon loans
- The Air Force Aid Society is pleased to announce
its new Falcon Loan available to Air Force members
beginning on 3 March 2008. The Falcon Loan is
a loan of $500 or less that can be used for
emergency needs such as basic living expenses
(rent, utilities, food), car repairs, emergency
travel, or other approved needs. The streamlined
application process for a Falcon Loan requires
no budget information, backup documentation,
or First Sergeant/Commander approval. Minimal
information required to process an allotment
or Paymatic transaction (automatic withdrawal
from bank account) and your signature is all
that is needed to complete the application.

- The following AFAS programs are administered by the A+FRC; Give Parents a Break, Bundles for Babies, Car Care Because We Care, Child Care for PCS, Phone Home, Spouse Employment, and Child Care for Volunteers.
